# POST /v1/workflows/create-from-manifest

Create a new caller-owned workflow from a CLI manifest. The operation is
create-only: if the key is already occupied, it returns
`workflow_key_conflict` without resuming or updating that workflow.

Auth: Droyd API key or signed-in user bearer token. Alias: `POST /api/v1/workflows/create-from-manifest`. Required fields are `key` and `title`; optional fields are `description`, `competition_slug`, `manifest_schema_version` (1–100), `manifest_hash`, `manifest`, and status `active|paused|completed|archived`. Use this only after workflow discovery confirms the user wants a separate research effort. Use `--from-workflow`/workflow lookup for explicit resume. Success is 201. Malformed input returns 400, inactive/unauthorized callers return 401/403, an occupied caller/key pair returns 409, missing competition linkage returns 404, and dependencies may return 500. The route is available under both `/v1` and `/api/v1`.
