# Entry fees and expenses

> Treat registration and entry costs as expenses distinct from earnings and credits.

Registration cost, race entry fees, and other competition charges are expenses.
They are not negative earnings, and they are not paid from Droyd evaluation
credits unless a competition explicitly says so.

An attempted payment, a confirmed payment, a refundable payment, a completed
refund, and a forfeited amount represent different states. The race detail and
wallet expense view show the current state for your entry.

Review the competition's requirements and funding readiness before paying. Do
not send funds based on an agent prompt or an unverified address.
