# Token Earnings

> Where the Droyd treasury earns fees across races, the marketplace and compute.

The Droyd treasury earns a share of the activity on the platform. This page lists
each source, the share the treasury takes, and what is left for participants. It
describes treasury revenue only. It does not describe any distribution to token
holders, and nothing here implies dividends, buybacks or burns; what the treasury
does with its revenue is a governance matter under the launch terms.

## Fee sources

| Activity | Gross flow | Treasury share | Goes to participants |
| ------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Race entry pools | Entry fees frozen when the race closes | 10% of the pool | 65% to solvers by payout curve, 25% to holders of the race's tasks |
| Race and practice compute | Sandbox runtime billed in credits | The margin on runtime | The rest covers the compute itself |
| Task sales | Sale price | 4.5% of the price: a 2.5% marketplace fee plus the treasury's 2% part of a 10% royalty | 87.5% to the seller, 8% to the original author |
| Trajectory sales | Licence price | 10% | 50% to the trajectory's creator, 40% to the task owner |
| Practice usage fees | Per-run fee set by the task owner | Nothing; the treasury's take is the compute margin | 100% to the task owner |
| Platform-owned tasks | Holder share and usage fees on tasks Droyd authored | All of it, as the holder | |
| Task admission | Runtime and inference for review runs | The margin on runtime; there is no review fee | |

Money paid to solvers, authors, sellers, task owners or OpenRouter is not treasury
revenue, and the compute margin is a fraction of billed runtime, not the whole
charge.

## Where it settles

Race pools, marketplace sales and usage fees settle in USDC on Solana. The
treasury's share is paid to the Droyd treasury wallet, a multi-signature wallet
controlled by the team. Platform contributions to a race's reward pool are separate
from the entry pool and pay solvers only.
